Reflecting on our netbooks.

Having a netbook connected to the internet helped me in all my subjects, In addition, the netbooks has the kind of resources and helpful tools for us to learn, share and to create. Furthermore, our teacher has been creating and sharing works to us through our class sites. Anyways, I've learnt PEMDAS which stands for: Penrentheces, exponent, multiplication, division, addition and subtraction, writing template and heaps of other learning stragegies.

Racing The Bell!

Talk to your partner about the kind of breakfast you usually eat. What's your favorite and why?
- My partner is Alex and he usually eats coco puffs for breakfast because its ingredients are included chocolate.
If you've ever skipped breakfast, how did it make you feel? Did you notice anything about your energy level during the day?
- Most times I skip breakfast and I feel great still. I miss out breakfast because I don't want to eat and I sometimes wake up late.
Look through the story again together. What effects did missing breakfast have on Kate? How could she have avoided this?
- During her test her brain stopped all a sudden. She forgot her lunch at home. And when it was time to do their 3 kilometer run she did not have enough energy and that is because she did not have breakfast.

Mighty Muscles

Think about three kinds of athletes - Sprints, weightlifters and gymnasts. They all use muscles in different ways. How are they different? What do they need their muscles to do? Can you thing of other sports in which athletes use your muscles in the way they use theirs?
- Sprinters: they use their hamstring, thigh, biceps triceps. Weightlifters: shoulders, thigh, biceps and triceps. Gymnasts: They use every muscle and they are also flexible.
- Netball, Soccer, League and Rugby.

House Sports (100 Meter Sprints)

On Monday we all gathered at the courts to attend house sports. It was a sunny lovely day to participate . Anyways, my group was kowhai 1 and our opponent was kauri 1. We were told to head up to the field and compete in 100 meter sprints.

First we ordered ourselves from year 4's to year 8's. Secondly our teacher which was Mrs Tofa settled the little ones first. We began with the young ones racing. When it was our turn Mrs Tofa gave head starts to the young once which made it very challenging. But we did not give up!

Overall, at the end of the day someone has to win so we wanted to earn more point by sitting an settling down well. "Kauri 1 has 9 points altogether" Mrs Tofa released from the paper. "Kowhai has 9 point altogether too" Miss said. It was a hard game though but it came down the the result.

National Anthem.

God of Nations! at Thy feet,
In the bonds of love we meet,
Hear our voices we entreat,
God defend our free land.
Guard Pacific's triple star
From the shafts of strife and war,
Make her praises heard afar,
God defend New Zealand.

E Ihowä Atua,
O ngä iwi mätouä
Äta whakarongona;
Me aroha noa
Kia hua ko te pai;
Kia tau tö atawhai;
Manaakitia mai
Aotearoa.

Shopping Day!!

"Buddy, tomorrow we are going shopping so remember"OK uncle. That night when I went to bed I had the quietest and and the most peaceful sleep ever, dreaming about ice-creams and unicorns until…..  Peep! Peep! Hurry up we need to go now” uncle David shouted. I hurried into the bathroom and brushed my teeth and wash my face, wore my long track pants and my NBA blue t-shirt. You had to come around seven” I cried. “Yeah cause I have work” he said. “But I lied”. I hopped in the van and off we went. “Uncle, wake me up when we get there” I said with a tired voice and my eyelids almost closed. “Yeah don’t worry” he replied back.

When we got there he did not wake me up, he took off and bought him his belongings without me. I woke up and looked around, all I can see was only me in the van alone. “Where's Uncle David” I said quietly to myself. “O man he left me. Cheeky Guy!. I opened the door and ran outside. I looked and looked and looked for approximately 12 minutes until I recognised him sitting across the Sushi restaurant eating sushi. “You had to leave in the van aye. “Narh I thought it will be funny”he said. “Yeah very funny” I replied.

We had something to eat and off we went, shop to shop. We did not miss any store without visiting in. Did you get what you want” Uncle David asked me. Ummmm can I get me a rugby boot for next years please…… Sure, we’ll check Stirling Sports if they have any rugby boots. Thanks Uncle I own you one. We crossed the road and off we went to Stirling Sports. I looked straight at this green orange Nike tick rugby boot sitting on top of its box. “ Uncle, I think I can see the boots that has been waiting for me to wear” I whispered quietly to his ear. Go get it and I’ll pay for it. Hurry cause I need to go to work” He commanded me. He paid it and off we went back to drop me off. Thanks Uncle for everything” I cried. Any-time buddy any-time. He dropped me off and he went to work. "Bye uncle and thank you once again for today". I had everything I needed for next year 1st XV. Cannot wait to wear all these sports gears next year!!
