Bonding to the nearest Thousands.

Today I managed to solve a task asking me, bonding to the nearest thousands. It was easy cause I knew forty five bonding to a hundred is fifty five so if four hundred and fifty bonding to a thousand it will be five hundred and fifty.

Perimeter 2D Shapes.

Perimeter of a Square = side + side + side + side or 4 x side

Example: The perimeter of a square of side  5cm = 5 + 5 + 5 + 5 = 20 cm or 4 x 5 = 20 cm

Find the perimeter of the following squares:

The perimeter of a square of side  10cm = 40cm   

The perimeter of a square of side  25cm = 100cm

The perimeter of a square of side  5m = 20m

The perimeter of a square of side  50m = 200m

The perimeter of a square of side  1km = 4km

Perimeter of a Rectangle = length + width + length + width or 2 x l + 2 x w

Example: The perimeter of a rectangle whose length is 6cm and width is 4cm = 6 + 4 + 6 + 4 = 20 cm or 2 x 6 + 2 x 4= 12 + 8 = 20 cm

Find the perimeter of the following rectangles whose lengths and widths are given below:

Rectangle 1 - length is 8cm and width is 5cm

Perimeter =  26cm

Rectangle 2 - length is 10cm and width is 7cm

Perimeter = 34cm

Rectangle 3 - length is 8m and width is 6m

Perimeter = 28m

Rectangle 4 - length is 16m and width is 10m

Perimeter = 52m

Rectangle 5 - length is 4km and width is 2km

Perimeter = 12km

3 Dimensional Shapes.

Cube:

Definition: A symmetrical three-dimensional shape, either solid or hollow, contained by six equal squares.

Properties: 6 faces, 12 edges and vertices 8.

Cuboid:

Definition: A solid that has six rectangular faces at right angles to each other.

Properties: 6 faces, 12 edges and vertices 8.

Cylinder:

Definition: A solid geometric figure with straight parallel sides and a circular or oval section.

Properties: 3 faces, 2 edges and 0 vertice.

Sphere:

Definition: A round solid figure, or its surface, with every point on its surface equidistant from its centre.

Properties: 1 face, 0 edge and no vertice.

Study Ladder Assessment.

Today I did the assessment and I got 10/10. The assessment was all about money. Next time I will try to do 20/20 assessment.

Today it was my first time on Study Ladder and I guess I'm not so bad at Financial Literacy Maths. I had all answers right and I'm proud of myself.

Division Facts

This is the score I got for my 9 division facts. I just learned that if you practice hard you will get a 100% correct . If you know your division you'll know your multiplication too. And if you want to improve your multiplication,division,addition and subtraction go to Mathmagician.
