The Unregistered Runners.
On this weekend, I read the East and Bays Courier newspaper. I read a letter by a disappointed Tsana Plessius from Glen Innes. She was complaining because on Sunday there was Round the Bay Fun Run at the waterfront. They estimate that there were 70,000 people or more who came along but there were only 42,000 registered. 28,000 people ran with out registration and paying. Even though these people cheated, they still raised about $300,000. That money is all for cancer research to help people in the hospital. New Zealand is a generous and helpful nation and we can prove it again next year.

I totally agree with you Chris. Those people who ran without registering cheated the Cancer Foundation and all the cancer sufferers the run wanted to support. I hope they read your post and get a guilty conscience and send the money.
ReplyDeleteGood on you for expressing your opinion on this situation.
