The terrible gun shot.

Help help!!!!! I heard a strange sound from outside. What could that be?, I ask myself quietly. Just before the soft voice I heard a loud crash! followed by a loud bang!. It sounded like heavy metal falling down from the sky. I  spy out the window and it was pitch dark black, I can’t see the person but I can hear him calling for help. So I sneaked slowly outside and wore my slippers.

My ears were as good as a dog, As I switch on both ears and followed the voice. When I was closer to the injury, the sound went louder and louder and my goose bumps were starting when I heard a whining noise. I walked towards the voice and I saw a person lying down on the ground completely injured. I asked him what was wrong?, and he said he got shot right on the ripps. I ran to the nearest house and got some help. The owner of the house called the ambulance and the owner came as possible to help the injured person. We stopped the blood by holding the sore, after a few second we heard the ambulance hurrying to the scene. They cleaned up the mess and took the homeless injury to the hospital. After 3 weeks the doctors called me that the homeless guy is free from the hospital. I was filled with traiphum and excitement.

Tour to Australia.

On Monday the first day of the school holiday term 3 my team and I went to Manly Australia for a rugby competition. On arrival and to relax we all decided to go for a swim at Manly beach. We got there by floating on a ferry. Manly is just similar to Gold Coast. The first thing I did was lay on the hot yellow sand. The sea was as blue as the sky on a summer day. I felt the pressure of the heat, the sun made me feel as hot as an oven.

When I stood on Ilawwara's rugby field I was so proud to represent my country at rugby union. My team and I were starting the warming up for our big game. When the referee blew the whistle, it sounded like a shrieking sea gull.  The boys took on they'er own position for the scary New Zealand haka. The boys knew that this is their talent and this is what they do really well. We had 10 rugby games and we won all our games. When we travelled back this was a fantastic experience for my team and for me. At the same time everybody was so happy to be back home and see their families.

My Sport Experience.

                      Winter Rugby

Every Saturday during winter time I always get excited and charged up. I live 5 kilometers away from the University Rugby Club which I play for as a forward.

In every game I strive to do my best to win this season for my club. I hear my voice inside my head telling me to stay calm. First our halfback kicks off and then we forwards are hungry for the ball. Every game I tackle, run, kick, throw, pass, dive, catch, sprint and have fun with my team. Sometimes I get frustrated and sometimes not. If the forwards don’t do their job properly, we lose the game.

After my game, my coach and I are out of energy. I’m tired and hungry and I can’t wait to get back home.

When I’m dropped off at home, I open the door and rush to the shower. The warm water re-energizes me. After my shower I feel like I haven’t eaten in centuries. I eat as much of whatever is in the pot and it tastes so delicious. As soon as I have eaten I dive into my bed and have a big snooze.

When I finish every game I feel like I am one day closer to being an All Blacks.

The Rock Warrior.

The Patupaiarehe people lived around the lakes of Rotorua at a place called Ngongotaha hundreds  years ago. These people were fair skinned and they were very good gardeners.
The Tipua people were giants and they were very bad tempered. These people wanted to take the beautiful lake and the land away from the Patupaiarehe people.

One day the Tipua war party marched through the Mamaku forest towards Ngongotaha. The Patupaiarehe people became very scared. They asked their leader to save them with his magic spell.
Tongakohu lit a fire and began chanting his magic spell. Soon the Tipau giants started feeling tried and they decided to stop marching and take a rest. After a while the Tipau giants wanted to move but they could not because they had turned into rocks. Finally, Tongakohu was able to save his people from the Tipau giants.

Cultural Day Feedback.

One of the highlights of the Cultural Sharing Day for me was the presenters. They did a great effort to do that job well because they were very confident. But in room 7 we were learning about South Africa. First of all some of the student in Room 7 were discovered to be a presenter and the rest was rotating around the classes. But I felt sad for the other kids because they were missing out the fun. Unfortunately they had a chance to rotate.

Cultural Sharing Morning.

My Big Dream.

My name is Christian Patrick Eliza and I am from Tongatapu Nuku’alofa. I have one sister and one brother and I am the eldest. I turned 12 on 17 April 2012. The only thing that is amazing is that when it was 2011 I turned 11 and now it is 2012 and I am 12 ! So it keeps on going on and on. My mom's birthday is in July and my dad's birthday is in November. We live in Glen Innes. My grandpa used to be a commando for the Tongan police. My goal is to be like him one day. He loved being a policeman because he wanted to follow his grandpa's footsteps. My mom and dad were born at the    Vaiola Hospital. My favourite colour is blue and I really enjoy Mcdonalds.

I am interested in a singer called Michael Jackson because I have been one of his fans since I was little.

I really want a Rugby Scholarship when I finish college or University. When I was about 5 my dream was to be a future All Black. I still have that dream. I play for a club called University Rugby Club and that's where some All Blacks started playing when they were little. In my future I would like to see robots as our equals because they can do all the boring everyday jobs. That means I can get on and do the really exciting stuff in life.

The Road Safety.

Today Constable Julie came to Glenbrae School. She came to teach us road safety. She came into our class and gave us some information on how to be safe and judge distance. After this all of us went outside to do an estimating distance activity. I learnt how to judge distance more accurately. I enjoyed estimating the right answer and it was fun. I found it kind of hard because sometimes I couldn't understand the instructions. I am looking forward to meet her again and using the skills that she told us in the future.

The Unregistered Runners.

On this weekend, I read the East and Bays Courier newspaper. I read a letter by a disappointed Tsana Plessius from Glen Innes. She was complaining because on Sunday there was Round the Bay Fun Run at the waterfront. They estimate that there were 70,000 people or more who came along but there were only 42,000 registered. 28,000 people ran with out registration and paying. Even though  these people cheated, they still raised about $300,000. That money is all for cancer research to help people in the hospital. New Zealand is a generous and helpful nation and we can prove it again next year.

My Similies

She was pretty as a princess.
It was as old as my grandmothers bike.
He took off like the fastest  jet in the World.
The pig smelt like the rotten food.
The old man was as mean as my uncle.
My grandmother was as gentle as a butterfly.
He was as talented as Daniel Carter.
The boy ran like a cheetah.
My pancakes tasted like blueberries.
His room was as messy as my room.
It was as easy as year 1 works.
She was slow as a snail.
It was as light as a feather.
It was as cold as the North Bowl.

Metaphor

He was a giant on the football field.
Falling leaves are butterflies in the breeze.
He looked handsome on the television.
She was naughty like my brother.
The internet was slow like the snail.
His teeth was white like my pencil.
The lion is the king of the jungle.
