.New Zealand Giant Weta
By Christian Fa’avae

Introduction:
This writing will give you important  information about Giant Weta in New Zealand.Gaint Weta have lived in the world for more than 190 million years. They are one of the oldest animals in New Zealand.

Physical Features:
They look a little bit like a grasshopper. They have a hard exoskeleton and they are called minibeasts or invertebrates.I think they live longer than the tuatara.
Diet:
The wetas eat  gorse flowers and other insects and invertebrates that are smaller that themselves.
Habitat:
Most of the giant weta live in the Mahoenui Reserve. In this place the giant weta was safer from their other destroyed habitats.
Pretadors:
The Wetas’ main predator are rats because the wetas spiky legs can’t defend the Weta very well from the rats.
Main Threats:
The main threats for the Weta are fires that destroy their habitats.
Behaviours:
The Giant Weta is placid. That means that the giant weta is kind and gentle and other types of Wetas are aggressive.

Conclusion:
Did you know that the weta has lived for over 190 million years?  I think the Weta is one of the oldest insects in New Zealand.

The devastating fire in Australia

It was a very sad and devastating moment in Brisbane, Australia. There was a 2 story house which was completely on fire. It happened on Wednesday 12.00am. There were 11 people who died, eight of them were children and 3 of them were adults. After a few minutes the firefighters arrived but it was to late to save their lives.Families of the dead people gathered outside, hand in hand and crying. They were praying, singing the hymns and waiting around the scene. They were only 3 survivors, all of them are men. Families of the dead people were Samoans and Tongans. However the police are still investigating how the fire started. I believe that the house didn't have any fire alarm.  If there were a fire alarm in the house there would not be any dead.

Emperor Penguin

This is a poor and lonely penguin. He got washed to NZ’s shore. He came from an icy land called Antarctic. People called him Happy Feet. Doctors took out sand, rocks and sticks from his stomach. Young kids like Happy Feet because he is cute. Happy Feet is now already at his home (Antarctica).

The Seven Little Pigs nd the Popular Hunter.

For the past few weeks we have been learning about how to write a narrative story. I hope you enjoy my story.

The Seven little Pigs and the Popular Hunter

There was once a million years ago Seven Little Pigs. There names were Matariki, Waiti, Waita, Waipunarangi, Ururangi, Tupuanuku and Tupuarangi.

They were scavenging for food in the forest. When they were scavenging for food they got captured in a gigantic and strong net.
“Hooray!” the hunter said, “I have got Seven Little Pigs for dinner”.
The Seven Little Pigs were so scared they began to cry. Tawhirimatea the god of wind saw the Seven Little Pigs crying in the gigantic and strong net. He had a terrific and awesome plan. Tawhirimatea  blew and blew and he blew the Seven Little Pigs up to the white blue sky.The Seven Little Pigs stayed up in the sky, and so when we look up to the sky now,  the Seven Little Pigs are the seven stars of Matariki.

The story of Mitai and his brother.

Mitai has short and curly black hair. He is one of the most handsome and strongest men in the village. He has brown smooth skin. His eyes look like stars that shine from the sky. His brother and him were the most popular hunters in the village.

Mitai lived with his seven brothers in a village called Maketu. He can transformed himself into a bird called Kereru. His hair is tied back in a bun. He wears a sacred green stone around his neck
